Position Overview:
The HR Compliance Manager is an important role in the HR team driving and delivering initiatives in the areas of compliance, policy and procedure. This leader will partner closely with Legal, Audit, Government Relations and the entire Human Resources team to identify, develop and improve upon various HR policies and programs to support a culture of continuous process improvement and scalability for future growth. This individual will be well-versed in legal guidelines and corporate governance best practices and be a systems thinker who can make connections between needs and technological solutions. Responsibilities:
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, analyze the impact and recommend best practices by reviewing policies and practices and making recommendations for necessary changes.
- Lead a small team and partner with Legal, HR Centers of Excellence and HR Business Partners in updating or developing HR policies and practices to ensure consistency across Paylocity.
- Develop communication plan with HR COEs, HRBPs and leaders on new or updated HR practices.
- Through the support of Legal and outside counsel, oversee immigration/visa and global mobility processes.
- Perform periodic audits to ensure compliance obligations are met; partner with HR and business teams to implement recommendations, remediation, and action plans resulting from audits.
- Maintain up to date employee handbook including various state specific supplements to the handbook. Ensures proper documentation and tracking of handbook distributions.
- Compile and analyze data and statistics for trends regarding compliance with employment laws.
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan.
- Coordinate with cross-discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
- Provide guidance and interpretation on policies, procedures, and best practices, to ensure the core principles of Paylocity are upheld through consistency, fairness and according to our vision and values.
- Prepare and deliver presentations for leadership and key stakeholders in partnership with HR COE’s and leaders.
- Support HRBPs and Employee Relations team and leaders to manage employee issues, conflict resolution, performance concerns and take corrective action.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration and/or HR Management or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience with a focus on compliance.
- Strong working knowledge of state and federal employment/labor laws and statutes, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII and other DOL regulations.
- Prior experience working in a complex organization with multiple state locations.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proven success managing change.
- Excellent communication and presentations skills, with the ability to interface with audiences of all levels throughout the organization.
- Ability to partner with internal HR team members, business leaders and counsel to drive compliance and HR related projects forward.
- Ability to develop solutions and make recommendations to senior leadership.
- Strong project management expertise.
- Experience leading and managing a team, preferred.
- Experience working in a high-tech environment. preferred.
- HR certifications SPHR or SHRM-SCP, preferred.

This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position is $90,100- $120,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here.
