Position Overview:
The Manager Digital Engagement is responsible for leading a digital engagement team and strategy to improve client and employee experiences at Paylocity. The role focuses on using technology to reduce operations-related interactions, drive customer adoption, increase self-service and achieve specific operational objectives. This position will deliver the right content at the right time, engaging customers and speeding up their time-to-value. The manager will lead with strong leadership, decision-making, risk assessment, communication, and collaboration skills, working across departments like Tax, Service, Support, Learning & Development, Product Operations and Development. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who can resolve complex issues, achieve short- and long-term results, influence strategy and manage scheduling, vendor relations, resources, and stakeholders effectively.
Primary Responsibilities
- Guide and support the Digital Engagement team as a people leader, fostering a positive, inclusive environment, setting clear goals, and providing coaching to ensure team success and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Approve, oversee, and evaluate the use of guides, ensuring they remain effective, up-to-date, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Manage vendor and Product relationships, ensuring effective communication, issue resolution, and that service levels and contractual agreements are met.
- Develop and implement a digital channel solution across the customer journey, collaborating with teams to leverage Pendo for supporting various Paylocity teams and client segments.
- Develop and execute digital adoption strategies to engage users, boost product adoption, enable self-service, and reduce cross-channel interactions.
- Stay up to date on Pendo functionality, helping the organization leverage its full capabilities for optimal impact and operational success.
- Identify and resolve escalations, mitigate risks, and leverage data insights to manage progress, performance, and priorities.
- Communicate issues, risks, and status to propose solutions, drive decisions, and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Deliver engaging presentations to diverse audiences and facilitate critical meetings across organizational levels.
- Collaborate with department leaders and employees to enhance operational efficiencies and effectiveness.
Requirements
- 7+ years of Customer Success or Customer Experience program implementation and management experience
- 3+ years of people management experience required demonstrated leadership experience within a customer service focused organization
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years utilizing, configuring and optimizing the use of Pendo within a SaaS company
- Strategic Development: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations, identify opportunities and challenges, and create comprehensive, actionable strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Strategy Implementation Expertise: Hands-on experience translating strategic plans into practical, measurable initiatives, ensuring alignment across teams and stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Skilled in anticipating potential barriers, addressing them proactively, and adapting strategies to changing circumstances or priorities.
- Results Orientation: A track record of delivering strategies that drive meaningful, sustainable outcomes, with clear metrics for success.
- High aptitude for working with technology, including the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools, platforms, and systems to enhance productivity and drive innovation.
Preferred Requirements
- 3-5+ years utilizing, configuring and optimizing the use of Pendo within a SaaS company
- Ability to independently develop and deliver effective presentations with executive management in order to influence and achieve business objectives
- Impeccable attention to detail
- HR/Payroll/HCM industry experience highly preferred
- Experience working with Salesforce, Confluence, and/or data analytics and project management tools

This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position is $78,000 - $125,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed. Base pay information is based on market location.
