Position Overview
The Senior Manager of Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness will play a pivotal role in enhancing organizational capabilities to drive a high-performance culture and elevate leadership effectiveness at Paylocity. This role will focus on leading, delivering, and supporting initiatives related to leadership development and organizational effectiveness, including employee listening, performance success, coaching, leadership assessments, and change management. The Senior Manager will partner across HR functions and directly with HR Business Partners to intake and assess organizational and business needs and lead a team focused on the design and delivery of scalable solutions that meet the evolving needs of the organization. The role will require thought leadership, consultative partnering, learning/leadership development, and process design skills to create scalable and flexible solutions tailored to unique business needs.

Leadership Development & Organizational Effectiveness
- Lead and support the facilitation of leadership and organizational effectiveness workshops for audiences across all levels, including open-enrollment leadership and professional development sessions, and enablement sessions for key initiatives.
- Design and deliver enterprise leadership development programs tailored to new leaders through executive levels, leveraging tools like StrengthsFinder and other psychometric assessments.
- Conduct training walkthroughs, manage train-the-trainer sessions, and oversee certified trainers to ensure consistent delivery of leadership and OE programs.
- Partner with the DEIA team to support and deliver inclusive leadership development programs.
Performance Success & Enablement
- Build and refine performance management systems, tools, and processes, including goal setting, coaching conversations, 180/360 feedback, mid-year check-ins, annual ratings, calibration, talent reviews, and succession planning.
- Create enablement guides for HRBPs, people leaders, and employees to support all phases of the performance lifecycle.
- Partner with HRBPs, Compensation, and Compliance to ensure alignment with organizational goals and unique business needs and successful execution of our Annual Performance Success Cycle.
Employee Listening & Feedback
- Act as a key partner and One HR Lead with our Product and Tech team to inform the design and execution of our Employee Voice survey, and partner with People Ops and HRBs to monitor and analyze other listening platforms such as focus groups, external feedback points (e.g. Glassdoor), exit interviews, and our annual certification with Great Places to Work.
- Develop and implement processes for analyzing employee feedback from surveys (e.g., Employee Voice, GPTW, Community) and other mechanisms, and translate employee feedback into actionable insights to enhance the employee experience.
- Build and deliver enablement for HRBPs and Leaders to analyze and interpret employee feedback, and turn those insights into actions that impact the employee experience.
Leader Onboarding
- Execute and continue to refine our New Leader Onboarding program for all newly hired/promoted people leaders at the enterprise level.
- In partnership with our HRBPs, design and develop materials and process to lead executive onboarding for new Directors, Senior Directors and VPs across the enterprise.
Leadership Interventions, Consulting, Collaboration & Coaching
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify organizational effectiveness opportunities and address challenges.
- Provide high-touch coaching and reinforcement to develop leadership capabilities, including interpreting employee feedback, creating action plans, and facilitating peer learning sessions.
- Deliver coaching to leaders and high-potential employees, leveraging internal coaches and resources.
- Implement custom leadership interventions to address specific leadership challenges and improve effectiveness.
- Act as an internal consultant to design and implement solutions that drive positive change.
- Partner across HR to gather feedback and refine learning materials and experiences.
Change Management
- Lead change management strategies and the creation of tools and resources for HRBPs and Project/Initiative Owners to ensure smooth adoption of organizational initiatives, policies and systems.
- Partner with project teams and leadership to assess change impacts and implement targeted communication, training, and support plans.
- Build organizational resilience by equipping leaders and teams with tools to navigate and embrace change.
Management and Supervision
- Effectively lead a diverse team of designers, facilitators and coaches to design and deliver high-impact programs across the enterprise.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, HR, IO Psychology, or relevant work experience. (Bachelors + Masters preferred)
- 5-7 years of experience in learning and development and/or organizational development and effectiveness roles.
- 3-5 years as a people leader.
- Proven experience designing and delivering leadership development and OE processes.
- Experience working with leaders across all career stages, including executives.
- Certification in coaching or assessments (e.g., ICF, CCL) preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
- Ability to deliver both in-person and virtual learning experiences with a high degree of engagement and impact.

This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position is $110,400 - $140,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
