National Sales Support Representative, Paylocity

While working towards my bachelor’s degree in business administration at Stetson University, I was part of the university's sales team and held the position of Executive VP of Finance for the Sig Eps Fraternity on campus. When it came time to find an internship, I wanted to find something that matched my already diverse experience.

Finding Paylocity was quite easy. I was immediately drawn to the company's incredible growth and dynamic environment. Paylocity seemed like the perfect fit for me to embark on a full-time career. And when I learned there was a Paylocity office in Lake Mary, FL, I knew it was the perfect fit. 

Throughout the National Sales Support Internship Program, interns were fortunate enough to meet with sales leadership to help us stay connected and pursue a genuine career. Not only did they allow us to get out into the field and experience what the role really entails, they also allowed us to shadow sales employees to experience what a full sales cycle would be like. In addition to learning about the day-to-day and how to achieve these goals, we were also provided a clear direction and pathway to be the most successful upon returning and pursuing a career within Paylocity. 

One highlight of my experience was visiting Paylocity’s headquarters in Schaumburg, IL and learning about Paylocity’s goals. I was impressed by the dedication and care they put into supporting their people, especially during challenging times like financial recessions and the pandemic. Seeing how Paylocity continued to grow, thrive, and stay successful by investing in their people was a key factor in my decision to build a long-term career in Sales here. I’m beyond grateful to be part of this organization, and it all started when we, as interns, received unwavering support from the entire staff—making it a truly unforgettable experience.

The NSS Internship provided me with the knowledge and connections necessary for a successful transition into my full-time role at Paylocity. By building relationships with managers and existing sales team members during the internship, I gained invaluable knowledge of the organization's dynamics, allowing me to return as an employee with confidence and a drive for excellence. Having a pre-built network of supportive colleagues and friends made me feel truly at home and secure within the company. As I was finishing college, knowing that I had a fantastic job waiting for me, surrounded by an amazing culture and dedicated employees, was a huge relief. I can’t thank Paylocity enough for giving me this opportunity. For anyone considering an internship, I highly recommend exploring Paylocity, especially the proven NSS internship.

For aspiring interns, I offer this advice: seize every opportunity to connect with the executive team, managers, and fellow interns. Networking and building your brand during the internship can pave the way for a successful career with Paylocity. Embrace the experience, soak up knowledge, and prepare yourself to thrive in your future endeavors!
