The time I spent at Paylocity from August 2014 to November 2021 was more than just a job, it was a journey filled with wonderful opportunities and memories. It was a pleasure to work with such a great team of people who not only shared their knowledge with me, but also became my friends. During my time at Paylocity, I had the opportunity to work in both Implementation and Tax departments, which taught me greatly about the industry.
I still remember the day I was first introduced to the Audit Team in Implementation. It was a challenging job, but I was fortunate to work closely with Implementation Consultants to review their client setups, ensuring that they were ready for their first payroll. As I worked with new Implementation Consultants, I realized that they could benefit from additional training. This led me to create a mentorship program, which was a huge success.
It was fulfilling to see that my efforts paid off, resulting in a decrease in errors compared to the previous year without the program. I was proud of myself and felt a sense of accomplishment. I had never felt so passionate about my work before, and it was all thanks to the great people and culture of Paylocity.
Because training had become my passion, I eventually made the difficult decision to leave Paylocity for a full-time training role. Even though I was excited about the new opportunity, I soon realized that the new company wasn't the right place for me. I missed my team and the work culture at Paylocity. So, after nearly two years of being away, I finally decided to come back home. The feeling of rejoining Paylocity was indescribable.
I interviewed with different teams, but my heart led me to Tax Registration. It's a team that I feel passionate about, and I'm thrilled to be working with them again. I'm also looking forward to working towards becoming the team's trainer.
Paylocity is not just a company; it's a family. I feel a strong sense of kinship with the people here. Many of the people I hold dear work here, and the bonds I've formed are invaluable. The company's culture and values really resonate with me, and I've gained a wealth of knowledge during my time here.
