Position Overview
The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for working hands-on tasks alongside other compliance professionals who specialize in tax, payroll, HCM, corporate compliance, legal, and risk management. This role will play a key in supporting the company’s corporate compliance efforts ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations. The candidate will work to maintain and enhance our corporate compliance program.

- Monitor changing legislative and regulatory requirements with focus on corporate compliance
- Conduct legal research to maintain proficient knowledge of applicable rules and regulations, assessing their impact on the organization, products, and services
- Ensure proper tracking of corporate compliance projects and provide regular summary reports to the leadership team
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of compliance-related documents
- Assist in preparation, review, and editing of documents related to compliance matters
- Provide project management support
- Assist with compliance on various internal corporate processes and controls related to document management, and other special projects
- Address ad hoc requests and challenges that arise in Paylocity Corporate Compliance
- Assist in managing and integration of processes to ensure organizational compliance
- Support the development of training and communications materials on corporate compliance topics
- Assist with due diligence on third parties
Education and Experience
State the minimum education, experience, skills, and certifications/training required to successfully perform the job.
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2+ years of paralegal experience or 3+ years in the fields of corporate compliance, regulatory compliance, legal, and risk management
- Ability to work independently, be self-starter, and work well with ambiguous information
- Exercise discretion and independent judgement on important matters while performing primary duties
- Strong attention to detail and methodical research abilities
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple timelines and provide regular reporting in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate and assist cross functional teams in providing timely and efficient administrative support
- Possesses some knowledge of money transmission laws, anti-money laundering, anti-corruption and anti-bribery legislation and US banking regulations
- Familiarity with consumer regulations and global anti-slavery laws is a plus
- Experience in Payroll/HCM Industry is a plus

This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position is $45,000 - $70,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed. Base pay information is based on market location.
