Description
Engineering Manager II's are members of our product teams, responsible for creating, enhancing, and supporting common features. Working side-by-side with Product Managers, Software and Test Engineers, and Business Stakeholders. They are actively involved in the complete software development life cycle in an agile environment including technical design, hands-on coding, unit testing, integration testing, performance tuning, maintenance, test automation, deploys and upgrades.

· Strong understanding of software system architectures and distributed systems at scale.
· Able to leverage your technical experience to guide your team developing complex solutions
· An advocate for quality, automation, and continuous improvement through data driven decisions

· Driven to stay current by learning and applying new technologies and tools
· Willing to share your ideas and unafraid to seek out feedback from others
· Adaptable to change and able to guide your team through ambiguity and competing priorities
During the first six months, you will:
· Independently lead an engineering team in the development or enhancement of products, solutions, and processes
· Assess the landscape of your team and mission to champion outcomes
· Understand, facilitate, and evolve the core processes of team (development, planning, on-call rotations, bug triage, metrics review, etc.)
· Collaborate with a Product Manager to provide the team with clarity of work
· Empower a team to deliver impact at a high velocity removing roadblocks along the way
· Hold the team accountable while cultivating a healthy team environment
· Coach and mentor team members toward achieving expectations and progressing in their career
· Own the overall health and engineering quality of the product(s) owned within a domain or function
Required Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science( or similar) or relevant experience
· Experience building and operating extremely reliable products and services used in enterprise settings supporting critical use cases, including running on-call.
· Experience growing high-performing engineering teams.
· Ability to prioritize strategically and align the team’s work with larger business goals. Have the courage to pivot based on broader impacts.
· Ability to influence the strategic direction of partners and stakeholders.
· Strong technical background. The candidate will serve as a sounding board for technical decisions as well as be able to communicate those decisions across the organization.
· Experience in C# or Java and relational databases (SQL, NoSQL)
· Nice to have experience in JavaScript or Typescript and in a modern frontend framework such as React
· Proficiency in AWS(preferred) , Azure or GCP
