Using a special methodology in conjunction with research company Statista to create unbiased results, the editors of Forbes have recognized Paylocity as one of “The Best Employers for Women in 2022”.

In today’s post-pandemic workplace, employees are demanding more flexible work options. This is partly because the COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionately affected women and their employment. According to Forbes, “Many women have left the workforce due to childcare demands, stress, low pay, and a lack of opportunities.” As a result to combat, more employers are changing the way they operate in order to foster a more flexible workplace with opportunities to improve childcare options, mental health, and more.

Forbes’ annual list of Best Employers for Women seeks to honor the companies on the forefront of combatting these issues. Its 2022 list comes from a nationwide survey of more than 50,000 people working for companies of more than 1,000 employees. The list seeks to honor companies like Paylocity that foster an environment where diverse employees, including women, are fully supported. The survey included questions covering working conditions, diversity, demographics, and respondents’ overall likelihood to recommend the company. Female respondents answered additional questions related to length of parental leave, gender discrimination, and pay equality. The final scores also considered diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) initiatives and gender representation at the executive level.

Paylocity knows that employees and potential candidates are now, more than ever, expecting companies to be proactive and transparent about multiple factors regarding DEIA and gender equality. To support equality in the workplace and help other companies integrate it into their culture, Paylocity has a range of tools to communicate, educate, and implement such efforts. This includes communication and collaboration tools that spark conversations about important topics related to women such as benefits. Our social collaboration hub, Community, serves as one source for announcements, messaging, and connection amongst employees. For clients, Paylocity offers a range of DEIA enhancements  that help drive important conversations around transparency, data insights, and so much more. Last year, Paylocity found a strong positive correlation between employee engagement and employers utilizing Paylocity’s Demographics Dashboards. Clients that used the analytics tool saw over 20% higher employee engagement compared to companies not actively using the tool.

Paylocity itself has also made considerable progress toward achieving a more diverse and equitable workplace for women. In 2021, 56% of all new Paylocity hires were female, while female leadership representation was just over 40%. Knowing that equity is not an endpoint, but rather, an ongoing effort, Paylocity is committed to seeking feedback, adapting, and striving for a more equal and just future through our products and our people.
