The impact of the coronavirus pandemic reaches beyond the health of people around the world, as it has forced businesses to shut down or severely limit operations. In fact, more than 26 million people have filed for unemployment in the United States, and millions of businesses have applied for loans through the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) within the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, which received an additional $310 billion in funding on April 21.
